Uniqlo + PMKFA.

During the Uniqlo christmas party 2006 I drew
a wall live. The theme of the party was labyrinth
and I though that what can be better than telling
the story of the Minotaur and how Theseus
was battling with him.
I used a style where I wanted to explore the
idea of “poor” compositions. Telling the epic
tale from Greek mythology using this style I
wanted to disarm it and make it funny, making
Akropolis look small and wash away it’s usually
monumental impression.

Revista Collectiva + PMKFA.

Spread for the Costa Rica-based magazine
Revista Collectiva. The theme was “beach” and
I wanted to showcase a new style of mine through
the shiny crome of a beach buggy.
If this would have been done in ‘83 and by a
air-brush artist then it would probably have been
named “Eternity and the car”.

Brus frontpage.

A illustration for the frontpage of the great
Swedish freepaper Brus.
Brus-logotype by Magnus Pong.

I can’t really decide if this style is great or
complete rubbish, please let me know what
you think.

“CMYK 2005”.

Illustrations made for the “CMYK 2005” book
made in relation to the magazine conference with
the same name held in Barcelona July 2005.
The illustrations function as intros to interviews
and is often therefore of a typographic character.
The illustrations are representing the following
magazines/people: Tokion, Matador, Yummy,
Marok, Joachim Baldauf and Minima.
The book was art-directed by Made.

“Pure nang”.

Typographic illustration for London-based
magazine Hit & Run. Nang means something very
good and this is heavily good, PURE NANG.

Papershoes.

Project for the third issue of online magazine
Sambandscentralen. Papershoes made to
make a twisted angle of something very ordinary.
European shoe size 37 and papersocks.
Made together with Megumi Matsubara.

“I want to give this site…”.

Project for the first issue of online magazine
Sambandscentralen. “I want to give this site
to you” is a project made together with Megumi
Matsubara showing our relationship while I lived
in Copenhagen and she were living in London.
Sending graphic material back and forth to make
a common temporary space in London for us to
dwell at together.

Junior Senior.

Illustration of the band Junior Senior for the Danish
magazine Romeo + Juliet. In this I tried to show a
more “hard” side of Junior Senior as they have been
pictured in a very happy and cheery way all the time.
